Description
The BrownDog 8-pin SOIC to DIP adapter is a small PCB that adapts an SOIC-8 SMD component to an 8-pin DIP footprint. These adapters are useful for replacing an 8-pin DIP component with an SOIC-8 equivalent, and when prototyping with SOIC-8 devices by making it possible to install them into solderless breadboards, perf boards, and 8-pin DIP sockets. You can order this adapter either unpopulated, or with a choice of various op amps installed.
Pins come pre-installed to the adapter, eliminating the need to buy and solder separate headers to the PCB. We also offer this 8-pin SOIC to DIP adapter in V-scored array panels, which makes it possible to use automated pick-and-place (PNP) machines to mount components to this adapter.
